About Us

Our Church:

Amherst Presbyterian Church is one of the visible churches for the invisible church that shall be gathered into one, under Christ, the head thereof; and is the spouse, the body, the fullness of Christ that fills all in all.  We seek to worship God, follow Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and minister to our members and the larger community around us.

Our Mission Statement:

Amherst Presbyterian Church is a living part of the Body of Christ, a safe, non-judging place to experience God.  As a part of the Body, we want to discover and use our spiritual gifts more fully, provide hands-on mission opportunities for all ages, and strengthen our fellowship connections for all ages.  As a place to experience God, we want to make our worship more inclusive and offer study opportunities for everyone to apply faith to everyday life.

Joining Our Church:

We are always happy to welcome new members into our church family.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about becoming a member.  If you have decided you would like to join Amherst Presbyterian Church, there are several ways that we receive new members:

If you have never been a member of any church before, you may join our congregation in worship by giving your affirmation of faith.

You may transfer your membership from another church.

If you have not been active in your current church for some time or if your church does not transfer members, you may join by re-affirmation of faith.

Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals:

In addition to our Sunday Worship service every week at 10:30 AM, Amherst Presbyterian Church serves our congregation and community by offering other special services:

Baptisms
Weddings
Funerals
